Sonny’s Gelato Café is an award-winning, family-style Italian Cafe and Gelateria.
Once you visit Sonny’s you will meet the family of four Italian generations who
bring to Boca the true taste of Italian gelato and home made family-style
sandwiches, salads, pastas and specialty desserts that are derived from the family
recipe books brought over from Sicily.
We produce 40 flavors of fresh gelato daily. All Sonny’s Gelato flavors are made
from fresh, natural ingredients. Gelato is lower in fat, with no more than 6 to 7
percent butterfat and gelato has much more flavor than traditional ice cream.
One of the basic differences between Gelato and the ice cream we know of in
the United States is that it doesn’t contain as much air, and is therefore more
intense in flavor. In part, Gelato is healthier than American-style ice cream
since it is made with all natural ingredients and contains fewer calories and less
butter fat.
As with most foods in Italy, each region has their own traditional style or use of
